(she/her)

My name is Esperanza, I identify as a bilingual Latina cis-gender female and my pronouns are she/her. I am grateful to be a licensed therapist in the mental health and wellness field. I enjoy exercise and martial arts. In my six years of experience, I have developed therapeutic alliances with individuals by serving and leading with empathy and compassion, utilizing active listening skills and a holistic approach with a non-judgmental attitude.

My practice is guided by cultural sensitivity and trust-building. I value the importance of human relationships, the dignity and worth of each individual, service, and competence. I collaboratively assist adults with managing depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem building, and co-occurring disorders. I provide minors with skill building to manage anxiety, depression, self-esteem building, and behavioral challenges.

I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland. I have experience across various clinical settings. Currently, I am pursuing my certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) to assist individuals to reprocess their traumatic memories with the aim of treating the distress associated with their traumatic memories.
