About Shannel

Shannel Zimmerman believes a little happiness can travel farther than we realize.

Sometimes it begins with something as simple as a smile. A conversation at the front desk. A moment of genuine interest in someone's story. Shannel loves meeting people and learning about the different lives, backgrounds, and experiences they bring with them. She hopes that in the time someone spends with her, they feel genuine care and compassion and leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived.

That same care follows Shannel into every part of her role. Whether she is helping someone at the front desk or supporting their care as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, she brings patience, compassion, and an ability to adapt quickly to whatever the day brings. What keeps her going, especially on the difficult days, is watching people persevere through their treatment. There is something meaningful to Shannel about witnessing someone continue to show up for themselves, even when doing so isn't easy.

That same belief in showing up shapes the way Shannel thinks about growth: practice consistency over intensity. She believes growth can ask something of us without asking us to be unkind to ourselves along the way. Growth can happen slowly. Progress can come one choice, one day, and one small step at a time. And for someone who is passionate about helping people move beyond self-doubt, Shannel understands how much can begin to change when we give ourselves enough patience to keep going.

Outside of work, Shannel finds joy in life's quieter moments. She loves crocheting and spending time with her family and friends, and some of her favorite moments are simply the ones spent together. She also understands the importance of slowing down every once in a while, giving herself time to refresh, reset, and begin again.

At the heart of it all, Shannel hopes the way she treats people doesn't end when an interaction does. She wants someone to leave feeling so genuinely happy and welcome that they carry a little of that feeling with them and offer it to someone else. Because sometimes kindness moves that way, from one person to another, quietly making the world around us a little softer as it goes.
