The person behind the care

About Ada

Ada believes where we are today does not have to be where we stay.

For Ada, there is always another tomorrow. A difficult day can end. A new one can begin. And sometimes hope starts in something as simple as seeing someone smile again, watching trust begin to grow, or helping a person recognize a strength in themselves they could not see before. Ada knows she cannot change everything someone may be going through, but she can make sure they do not leave her feeling unheard. She wants the people she cares for to feel peace, acceptance, respect, and the freedom to be honest without fear of judgment.

Ada's approach is compassionate, patient, and empowering. She knows every person has a story, and that some of the hardest parts of it may not be immediately visible. She enjoys connecting with people, listening to those stories, and creating the kind of trust that makes it easier to talk about the things that are often hardest to say. Most of all, Ada wants people to know that their struggles do not have to define who they are. She wants them to recognize their own strength, rebuild confidence in themselves, and begin to see what else might still be possible.

Mental healthcare has always felt like a calling to Ada. She was drawn to supporting people through difficult and vulnerable moments, but she also saw how stigma, culture, and language could make reaching for that support even harder. Having come to the United States from El Salvador at fourteen and learned English while navigating high school and an entirely new environment, Ada understands something about finding your way through unfamiliar territory.  Today, she is proud to provide care in both English and Spanish, helping make mental healthcare feel more accessible, culturally sensitive, and understood within Spanish-speaking communities.

Outside of the clinic, Ada is adventurous, positive, and genuinely curious about the world. She loves traveling, discovering new places and cultures, working out, trying new restaurants and cafés, and spending time with the people she loves. She is currently learning Portuguese, drawn to both the challenge of learning something new and the possibility of connecting with even more people in their own language. She finds joy in the simple things, too, a beautiful sunset, a good cup of coffee, or a slow morning with nowhere to rush off to. Ada loves to laugh, tries not to take life too seriously, and believes there is always something new to learn from our experiences and from one another.

For Ada, resilience does not mean that difficult things do not affect us. It means they do not get to decide everything that comes after them. Healing is not always about forgetting or completely overcoming what happened. Sometimes, it is learning how to move forward without allowing those experiences to define you. Hope is having faith that even when you cannot see what comes next, there is still something better ahead. Together, they leave room for growth, strength, and the possibility of becoming whole again.
